A thermoformed plastic insert tray for 10ml glass vials - holding each vial in its own individual cavity with a controlled ±0.25mm clearance gap per side. Available in PVC, APET (recyclable), and PETG (cold chain to −80°C).

Tray dimensions derived from vial + box

The tray outer dimensions are specified to the box interior with ±0.3mm clearance per side. The cavity diameter is the vial OD + 0.5mm (±0.25mm per side). Both are calculated from the target vial and box dimensions - specify your vial OD and box inner dimensions at order, or supply a vial sample.

Each cavity is formed to the vial OD + 0.5mm - providing exactly 0.25mm of clearance per side between the vial wall and the cavity wall. This controlled gap is the critical engineering specification of the tray: enough to allow the vial to slide into the cavity easily, but tight enough to prevent the vial from moving during distribution vibration. The gap acts as a controlled shock absorber, preventing the glass from contacting hard surfaces.
