30,000 × g - what high-speed centrifugation means
Relative Centrifugal Force (RCF), expressed in multiples of gravitational force (× g), is the correct way to specify centrifuge tube performance - RPM alone is meaningless without rotor radius. The 0.5 ml tube is rated to 30,000 × g, covering standard microcentrifuge use (up to 16,000 × g in most lab benchtop units) with a significant safety margin. This rating is tested by applying the rated force for a defined duration and checking for deformation, leakage, or failure of the snap cap.
DNase / RNase / pyrogen free - certified
Every lot of 0.5 ml tubes is tested for absence of DNase activity, RNase activity, and pyrogens (endotoxins) before release. This certification is required for nucleic acid work - trace RNase contamination from inadequately processed PP is sufficient to degrade RNA samples during extraction and RT-PCR workflows. Lot-specific CoA confirming biosafety test pass is available with every shipment.
Bulk packing for production labs

RCF vs RPM - why RCF is the correct specification
RCF (× g) is the force experienced by the sample in the tube - it depends on both the RPM and the rotor radius. The same RPM on different centrifuges produces different forces: 14,000 RPM in a small-radius fixed-angle rotor produces ~17,000 × g; in a large swing-bucket rotor it may produce 21,000 × g. By specifying RCF, the tube rating is meaningful across any centrifuge and rotor combination. Always match tube RCF to your centrifuge's displayed or calculated RCF - not to its RPM readout.
